HISTORY

Our Karate lineage

Bryan Shewry began his karate experience at the Straford Karate Kai in the 1970's under the Hawkins Brothers. Straford was originaly one of the first Kyokushinkai Dojo's in the UK.

The Kyokushinkai style has continued to have an influence on our training and syllabus.

Our association with the Late Vernon Bell Sensei and John Morgan Sensei have further anchored our roots in the beginnings of the British Karate movement.

Our Tai Chi Chuan School was established approx 2000 under the Yang lineage through association with Sifu Robert Fermor of the National Acadamy of Martial Arts.
